Style at a Certain Age — the channel Christian Francis edits
YouTube Growth Partner

About

I’m Christian Francis — a video editor who ended up running a business.

Since 2019 I’ve been the person behind Style at a Certain Age, Beth Djalali’s fashion-and-lifestyle channel for women over fifty. When I started, there was a camera, a point of view, and not much else. Today the channel has grown from zero to 283,000 subscribers and nearly sixty million lifetime views, with more than two thousand videos shipped.

I didn’t get there by being fast in the timeline. I got there by owning the parts of the job most editors never touch.

What I actually do Link to heading

Most people hear “video editor” and picture the last ten percent — cutting clips together, adding music, cleaning up audio. That part matters, and I’m good at it. But growth is decided in the ninety percent that happens before the edit:

  • Packaging — the title and thumbnail that decide whether a video is ever clicked.
  • Structure — the cold open, the promise, the payoff, and the pacing that keep someone watching past the thirty-second cliff.
  • Retention — reading the analytics graph like a story and knowing exactly where viewers leave and why.
  • Strategy — content pillars, upload cadence, the subscriber funnel, and the calls that compound over hundreds of videos.

I treat a channel the way an operator treats a business. Every upload has to earn its place.

How I work Link to heading

I take a handful of channels at a time — deliberately. This isn’t a content mill. I’d rather go deep on a few creators who film well and have a real point of view than spread thin across dozens.

If you have footage and momentum but you’ve plateaued, that’s usually a packaging-and-structure problem, not a filming problem. That’s the work I’m built for.

Based in Athens, GA. Available for a small number of new partnerships.
